I Spied You On the Other Side......

I was out gazing at trees again, looking up at the branch structures..........
and I found a face looking back, sideways.....
This is a burl on an Oak tree.  They are caused by  a bug, in the bark, where a branch is, was or used to be......   a bug was there with a virus, or a virus was on the tree......    either way, the tree reacts by building bark outward forming a callous, in this case a really large callous.
      When looked at from the side you can see a burly face looking out over the forest.......
