Leonardo
Leonardo: A Life In Drawing is one of the special exhibitions currently taking place at Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum in Glasgow.
To commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Leonardo da Vinci, 144 of his drawings from the Royal Collection are on display simultaneously - twelve drawings in each of twelve locations across the UK. One of those on show in Glasgow is Leonardo's sketches of a horse (pictured above), possibly drawn as part of a design for an equestrian statue.
While on my visit to Kelvingrove this morning, I saw the other main special exhibition of the moment - 'Dippy', the cast of the 150 million year-old diplodocus on loan from the Natural History Museum (see extra).
