Abundance
We look out on this hibiscus plant from our lanai (verandah) and marvel at how it changes day by day, even hour by hour at times. The most gorgeous flowers bud and bloom and then fall from the plant over the course of a few days. When it rains or gets dark the flower closes in a self-protective huddle and opens once more to greet the sun.
A message from Diana today, "Hi Anny and Tiz, if you want an American cultural experience, come on over to watch the Super Bowl" - kind of like the American equivalent of the World Cup final. So, after collecting Angelo from the airport (returning from Spain) we went over for a while. Quite a crowd of friends to watch the most absurd game you could possibly imagine. Huge men in padded clothes and helmets knocking each other over. Crazy! Still, there was more conversation than attention to the game (thankfully!), so it was a fun afternoon.
