Gambler Mini-bike Governor Removal Day
Our field testing of the mini-bike last Saturday revealed several modifications necessary to perk-up our machine to make it race ready.
First, and foremost, is the removal of the governor device that limits the engine speed.
Laying the mini-bike on it's side allowed for the delicate governorectomy operation to proceed complication free.
The engine can now rev-up to 5500 rpm (the governor limited it to 3600 rpm) which translates to a 35% increase in the top speed of our mini-bike.
Upon the completion of the work both nightfall and rainfall prevented a road test, but the static test demonstrated a dramatic performance improvement.
Needless to say our next field testing session will be way more fun!
