new life....

this time of year is great for growing things in Zambia - because of the rains and the heat everything grows really quickly!  So this plant which I thought had died last year has come to life again and is producing flowers!  

Last night at 2am I was woken by the alarm on my electric fence going off!  Of course first instincts tell me that the burglars are back so I had a bit of a panic. I turned off the alarm and looked around outside but found nothing!  Turns out this morning a poor lizard was fried on the fence and that set the alarm off!  I didn't sleep much after that so I am hoping it doesn't go off tonight!!
