Rotterdam inaugural

Today I went on the inaugural British Airways flight to Rotterdam and on arrival we received a VIP welcome with a water cannon arch, press coverage and red carpet at the bottom of the airstairs. They were pleased to have us ! The airport is minute so we are quite a good catch !

So I spent day in the city with a friend. We did a lot of walking in the rain and cold wind, around the canals and along the Maas, taking in the modern architecture, but also lots of old boats and a sprinkling of classic cars. The highlight though was going up the Euromast for a view of the entire city. However the conditions were challenging for decent photos.
