Still snow

Had a bit of a lie in and then walked up to the local shops for a few bits and pieces and to get rid of a few glass bottles and jars. 

The pavements were generally OK unless they'd been hidden from the bright sunshine. 

We went out again later, encouraged by the bright sunshine, and went along the canal and then back via the river. We saw lots of swans, geese, cormorants, grebes and ducks and a lovely redwing. Step count is now over 17,000 for the day.

It's the US superbowl tonight. I will be the only one at work tomorrow so I'll have to retire relatively early. The rest of the family intend to see it all the way through. We did buy snacks earlier and have beer and cider in the fridge.
