Tracks
It’s a beautiful day. Cold in the shade, surprisingly warm in the sun.
I spend an hour in the morning chipping hedge clippings. Long, jagged branches of rosehip and hornbeam. There’s a much bigger pile still to do.
After lunch, Claire and I start on the espaliered apple trees. We prune and tie four of them - almost half. Then there’s all the free-standing trees still to do.
Claire heads into town for a Burns supper reunion with the diving club. Angus arrives on the bus. I cook curry and we watch Groundhog Day - a first for Angus.
