Lemon frosting
Slept like a log again last night.....after a fairly potent hot toddy, courtesy of hub, and two beechams flu capsules ;-))
Had a message of youngest asking if we were around as they were popping into town to collect DiLs new glasses, we agreed to meet up with them mid morning.
We walked into town, well wrapped up against a pretty chilly breeze, but in glorious bright sunshine. We met up in Reds and enjoyed a lovely catch up with them, over brunch and coffee. They have both been suffering with the nasty virus that seems to be knocking people for six....luckily mine has remained as a head cold. Hub was the only fighting fit one in the group ;-) The bright low sunlight is the absolute worse for sons eyesight....he is now adept using his cane.
We walked back to their car with them, as son had a bottle of whisky for hub which he gratefully received. He was bemoaning that I was using his "best" whiskies for my hot toddies ;-)
We had some shopping to do before walking home again. Whilst I was still wrapped up I popped into the back garden to get a blip for today......I wanted a shot with the snow and/or ice. This little primula in flower, surrounded by crystal ice caught my eye.
Ive spent quite a while this afternoon trying to catch up with some of your journals......again!
We are having trout and prawns for dinner this evening......going to make a spicy tomato sauce to go with it, over some linguine I think.
Its now 5.10pm and still light, just, .....slowly but surely :-)
