A winter visitor

JJ is struggling with a bad cold, so I've been making him drink water, something he rarely does.  I have been kind though, using previously boiled water which won't set his teeth on edge in this cold weather.  We also walked a couple of miles in the sunshine this morning.

This blackbird is one of our winter visitors and am not sure whether it's male or female.  It's certainly not like our summer females but as we have a few of the "normal" male blackbirds around, my inclination is towards female.
