Threipmuir Reservoir
This afternoon I went for a walk round Threipmuir and Harlaw Reservoirs in the Pentland Hills, conveniently close to Edinburgh. It's a very easy walk, about three miles, virtually level and all on paths, but it was my first "proper" walk - with walking boots - since my hip replacement and I can't tell you how good it was to be able to stride out and enjoy the exercise. I haven't been able to do that for more than eight months. It was a beautiful day and I took loads of photographs (so I wasn't striding out all the time) - most of them will be consigned to the recycle bin. I deliberately didn't hurry back as I hoped to do better as the sun set - and I think I did.
