50 Years

Back Blip

Gosh, we made it to our 50th Wedding anniversary - well done us :)

Our group of 12 celebrated together very well !!!!!  (aswedo).  Special times with special friends. A couple from Nelson and another from Christchurch travelled down.  The others live locally.  

Except for the Christchurch couple who were staying with us, the other eight arrived in a maxi-taxi at 4 pm, followed by a little photo shoot (thanks oldTimer), then drinks and nibbles followed.  
Doug & I excelled ourselves and put on a beautiful three course dinner.  The memory books were a hit and much laughter and reminiscing was had.  
We were blown away (tears) when presented with a beautiful book with photos and words from each couple, beautifully presented in gold paper and ribbons.  But more was to come, an amazing gift of a tour and accommodation in the far north of the South Island....OMG, more tears.  I did manage a few words of thanks and some memories,  I do get very emotional, which bought out more emotions from our friends too. 

In extra is this exceptional group which we love dearly - the three ladies in the front were our bridesmaids (friends from our 1st day at Secondary School), the three men in our wedding party are the two blokes back row on the left, and the one kneeling on the right.  

We are very blessed.
