Lunch in Birmingham

Usually I meet friend S in Canterbury or Ramsgate for lunch ( she spends Christmas in East Kent)   but now I don't live in Kent we met in Birmingham instead. Felt bad when I heard she had had to walk back  home from Basingstoke Station because the snow was so bad her hubby could not collect her in the car. He walked to meet her - only a few miles she said!! . No snow in Birmingham!
