Coming home

We've been back to Essex for the second time in a week but this time to my home town of Southend. Today's blip is taken a stone's throw from where we lived when we first got married 40+ years ago. In the far distance is the famous pier which is the longest in the world at over a mile long. It is the town's one and only tourist attraction and I still fail to see why. Once you've walked to one end you have to walk all the way back - and I have done, many times!
Today we saw my family and I gave my mother the photo book I'd made, she was thrilled so it was worth it.
