Bit of a flat game to be honest. There were brief moments of skill but before you could get to the edge of your seat there was a bad pass, a ball out of play, or a run into a dead end. And the ref didn't help either, blowing the whistle every time players are within 3 feet of each other isn't really going to help with the flow of the game. All it needed was a deflected goal to really make it a miserable 90 minutes...
...good job there was stoppage time. One goal was good but when Jelavic scored the second the roof very nearly came off!

This was the last game at Goodison before Christmas so they made it a festive occasion with Blue Santa on hand along with his reindeer and the Salvation Army band -do they only come out at Christmas?- and he was happy enough to pose for me. Unfortunately the sun was abit bright so I couldn't quite tell what the picture was like.

Oh and Blue Santa said it'd be 2 -1!
