Pump Up The Jam

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

This is the address of an old pump house which sits over an underground spring and houses an artesian well that used to pump water to the Old Holyrood Brewery.

Enough of the facts. I pass this on my walk to work and it always makes me smile because the Mini Princesses used to think it was HILARIOUS when they were little. They had that childish delight about being a bit rude but ‘allowed rude’. We used to jokingly ponder whether it’s a special house that windy people visit or whether it’s the house where all the pumps live after floating through the air.

I’m still not sure.
