Another long day

Back blip

It snowed last night and the roads were slow this morning as I crossed the island, no gritters out here. Much ground to cover today and my client flew back from hospital so a meeting at 3pm.

I covered most of the ground crossing many fences, dunes and skirting cattle. Last field to check and as I leapt from the top of the fence the stob gave way pitching me directly down on my left shoulder. I was pleased to find my arm not broken just badly jarred but an injury to my other hand, maybe caused by my clipboard so no feeling in that. A minute to pull myself together before checking last field and returning to farmhouse where they gave me a mug of tea.

Back out again to check more fence lines but this time I had transport on condition we fed the cows too. Main photo is my transport arriving to pick me up.

Finished as the sun was setting and had a quick walk on the beach before getting changed for dinner.  A peaceful evening nursing my bruises and numb finger.
Tiree is famous for it's many beaches so see extra for a quick shot of one of them as I went past.
