When you’ve got the right tools . . .
. . . and you know what you are doing, a potentially big job turns out to be not so big after all.
You know what it is like when you move house or, as in our case, you have major building work done, there are so many decisions to be made and often to be made in a hurry. Then later you look round and think – amazingly we got it right . . . almost. Putting ceramic tiles in the guest bathroom was a bad idea. They are cold, bumpy, impossible to clean and a miserable colour. They have annoyed me for a long, long time, but I always thought it would be a huge job – getting all the tiles up etc.
Then along comes our local flooring star. In a couple of hours this afternoon, tiles were cleared, floor sanded, scree put down etc. etc. Tomorrow I will have the new floor and I will be very happy.
Very, very cold today, but so much sunshine. We still have snow and we took some into Carlisle on the car, so they could see what snow looks like.
