St James park

Having read about the pelicans in St James' park on blip l went with a friend down into town to see for myself. The promised snow had not arrived and it was a beautiful looking day so what was not to like? The 3 pelicans were quite stunning, a beautiful almost pale apricot colour they just stood preening themselves and taking no notice of the public although one did let out a raucous noise when a tourist tried touch it. Why is it that the more beautiful a bird/animal is the uglier its song is?
We had a lovely walk around the park, stopped for a mocha and pastry in the Mall and then caught the tube home, all in all a good morning.
I note today there is the biggest, fattest frost outside, l am back in bed and may stay here for quite a while!
