Big Red in the White

I am no longer a big fan of snow, but I do enjoy the short period of time when it is fresh and beautifully draping the trees and bushes.  Nothing is prettier than seeing the Cardinals in the snow-covered trees.  I had a hard time choosing which photo to blip so I have included an extra. 

We are bracing for the polar vortex cold that is descending on us tonight.  To my friends north of here and in the midwest - stay warm and safe.
