An afternoon walk

This afternoon Mr MC and I decided that we should get out for some fresh air and went for a walk around Connaught Water.  Although we were too early for sunset colours, the sunshine and blue skies made for beautiful scenery.  I did take a number of photos, some of which are featured on my FB page, but I've chosen this one for my blip as it (just about) qualifies for today's two challenges.  It isn't taken with a wide angle lens but I've cropped it to give that look and it does feature wildlife.
The water was frozen in places but we've not had any snow of significance: that is promised to visit us later tomorrow evening.
