Where else would you go to get a blip on a freezing cold, yes, the ice cream factory and it’s associated cafe. I have some lemon meringue ice cream for after tea.

Musselburgh is so lucky, because a lot of Italians emigrated to East Lothian at the end of the 19th century and many opened up amazing ice cream parlours (selling their own home made ices).

The neighbouring town of Prestonpans is twinned with Barga in Italy, as a lot of emigrants for Italy settled there.
