The Kelpies on a beautiful wintry day

A heavy frost last night so the car windows needed a good scraping this morning before setting out for a jaunt.

It's been a while since L and I had a visit to the Kelpies so that was our destination today.  The weather was perfect for a drive and a walk along beside the Forth and Clyde Canal. The water in the canal basin was frozen with a light sprinkling of snow lying on top of the ice.

The Kelpies looked magnificent with the snow covered hills in the distance.
