Horopito

Psuedowintera colorata or Horopito/Pepper Tree. I'm yet to discover how to use the leaves in cooking, or the other uses Maori use them for.

I do know that you don't munch on a leaf as you're passing, they're very hot. I have 2 of these and I chose them because the leaves are an interesting varigated red and green.

I've continued to improve today and feel a lot better at the end if the day. Thankfully it clouded over and the temperature dropped. I have happy plants.

When I look at this image I see a gorgeous print that would look great as curtains.
