Waldron Cutting

A late afternoon run took me through the village of Waldron. My route passed through Waldron Cutting, a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the rock formations and fossilised plants embedded in the sandstone.
I think most people probably drive past without giving it a second look. I didn't have to leave the road to take this picture. 
On foot, it's easier to appreciate nature's marvels. Here, a huge tree's root structure is exposed.
