La bodega del jamón

Somehow we had never noticed this shop before, although it's on our regular route into town. We were quite spellbound by the selection of wines in bottles and barrels, organic olive oils, local cheese, several qualities of jamón, sweets, biscuits, jams, and other goodies in cans and jars. I was so mesmerised that it took me a minute or two to realise that our landlady B and her sister I had just come into the shop and were vainly trying to catch my eye. Very nice, we bought some ham at "only" 70 euros a kilo, along with cheese and caramelised almonds.

Earlier, yet another visit to the spa, and then a trip into town to collect my repaired handbag from the cobbler (cost of repair: 5 euros), which we used as an excuse to stop off for wine and a tapa before dinner at home of chicken curry made by S. It's been a windy day again, but our garden is so sheltered we hardly noticed.
