Of all the trees in the wood....

...the Douglas fir was the tallest of them all!

What a day. The light has been amazing. The trees looked so colourful. This photo was taken from the old railway viaduct which passes over the River Tweed a few miles to the west of Peebles. One of my favourite walks. Just beyond the viaduct is an old and very long dark railway tunnel...good for ghost hunting!
