Nadar Exhibition

We visited another stunning exhibition (after Dorothea Lange on Sunday--this one at the BnF Mitterand (one of two  National Libraries in Paris).  It presents 300 works--mainly photographs--by the Nadar family, who worked in France from the 1850s to the 1930s. The show is beautifully designed, as I hope the blip shows--Félix Nadar (1820-1910) is on the right, with his mustache and curly hair.  He worked closely with  his brother Adrien Tournachon (1825-1903) and his son Paul Nadar (1856-1939) Their portraits were the lifeblood of their business, but they pursued their many other activities with great energy and creativity.   The Wiki article on Félix is here.
