Be prepared.....

The fire was made ready for use later this evening. Ashes raked, newspaper splints in place, kindling laid and logs in basket....and now it's alight ...my extra ...and we're sitting round it whilst watching the Brexit amendment votes and I'm trying to understand them....

A lovely couple of hours with Kathy this afternoon. It was too cold to take her out so we sat with a cup of tea and a shortbread biscuit and chatted the time away. 

And Gail has been given an amazing bill of health by her consultant and can resume swimming, bell ringing and even riding. Tomorrow she will get new glasses and will know if driving is also possible. She has already taken on a young student twice a week for Grammar School entry tuition. Such  wonderful news and so thrilling.
