Churches and Coffee
We were a bit later this morning. Probably due to too much Cachaca last night!
Staying in this Convent Hotel also has a funny effect on me, I am just happy sitting there in the shade and enjoying the tranquility.
And that is what we did most of the day! Happily!
We did went out around 4 pm to have a look at the 2 adjacent churches.
One is belonging to our Convento and was already impressive, but the other one was even more stunning!
I usually get tired about churches quickly, but now I want to see more of them. And there are PLENTY!!
We went to Cafelier before 5 pm to try and get a table.
We got on the waiting list and sat in the “Waiting room” for probably 20 min before we got led into the holy halls to a small table close to the balcony and their famous sunset view over the bay.
The coffee was good and the cafe itself very nice indeed. The view was not as stunning as expected, but it was still nice to look over the bay.
We went back to the hotel afterwards and got out again a bit later.
We walked up the road into Santo Antonio and saw a lot of art galleries, that we need to explore another time, as they were shut.
We walked back na looked at restaurants and ended up at Pysco Restaurant, which also has a terrace overlooking the bay.
We had some AMAZING food there and plan to go back there!
Blipping a view through a window of the neighbouring church. I was impressed by all those many roofs!
