Spotted this pretty cat sitting among the ivy on my walk up an alleyway from the harbour. I had an early appointment at the doctors and afterwards I met up with David and we went for walk down to the harbour.David had been to the Coop and bought us a hot bacon and cheese slice so we sat on the bench and enjoyed it.
Rather grey with heavy cloud and the sun barely peeping through. It had been a lovely sunrise too so I was expecting blue skies but they did not reappear until later.
There was a nice curlew, a lone redshank, several piping oystercatchers and a group of mallard near the harbour wall.
We went up the alley where we saw the cat and saw a large group of long tailed tits in the trees above it’s head.
A long haul up the hill to get home and a restful start to the afternoon .Richard popped over for tea and cake and then I made a tasty
Chicken casserole with dumplings.
We had a few flakes of snow and it’s going to be a cold night.
Looking forward to Winter Watch from the Cairngorms tomorrow :)
I did do the bird watch again but still not that busy just a few long tailed tits and no woodpecker so have added the list to yesterday’s blip .
