The Shepherd

On the downs above Alfriston stands this lonely chapel. it's origin lost in history, the larger church burned by Cromwell (?) the remains resurrected in the 20th century.

The Church of the Good Shepherd holds 20 people and celebrates christian holidays with more stood in the churchyard. For the rest of the time it is a space which shelters walkers from the rain and remains a place of peace and tranquility while the storm makes merry outside.

Worth a visit.

Talk to Mary while you share her seat.

Then go look for the Long Man?
