Up in the trees

As the water was quite frozen this morning, i ventured outside after 4pm to refill the water troughs for the chicken, ducks and geese.

Goldie, the rooster on the right, was already in the tree, havibg taken uo his probable night time position. Little Ginger Rogers climbed up to be with him. They make a very attractive pair. I don't know if they stay there all night as it's very cold outside. But I am not going out again to find out. They are very safe in their chicken field as it has an electric fence around its perimeter to keep out any predators.

The sky looked beautiful tonight as the sun was setting and it was still light at 5pm.
