Boys on the beach
While Mr C his shopping I met Marion for a chat in Arlo. Then Mr C and I picked up the boys from school. We had the foresight to collect their wellies from home as we were pretty sure thry’d Want to go down to the beach, a few minutes from school.
It was icy cold but they didn’t care, collecting stones to throw in rock pools, and racing back from the in-coming tide. The sun had set by the time we left. Needless to say they wanted fish and chips. They eat the adult size portion of fish but aren’t bothered about the chips.
They were telling us about school. Thomas began by saying he’d had a good day with number work, and had got a certificate from the headteacher. James immediately told us he too had had a good day with numbers. Apparently Ben had taken till the teacher had counted 5 to get out from under the table, but James had got out when she got to only 3! Obviously it was an ultimatum and they were doing something naughty. (He’s not actually at school- but his nursery is in the school building so he insists he’s at school). At dinner he to,d us girls do ballet and boys do yoga. We all were quiet while he showed us his pose.
Ella did FaceTime to tell me she and Kate are no longer going to have babies when they get married. (To each other). Ella thinks it would be too ouchy and anyway Cate would prefer to have a dog called Barney.
I think I need a G & T.
