Allermuir Hill

It is very icy in the morning, and the winter tyres grip very well for the ride in to work. I think, from the fact the rear does fishtail a bit, that I need more air in the front tyre.

As the rain past through last night, it cold enough for a dusting of snow on the hills. Still too mild for snow at lower levels, unlike central Europe, where it has been dumping with snow.

The ice may have gone during the day, but as I cycle home, it is reforming fast. Tyres works well again, apart from the odd moment on metal manhole covers, where metal on metal is a bit sketchy. But not as bad as rubber on ice.
