Little Bird And Big Bird

I shot the blue tit in the sunshine against the beautiful blue sky when we were on our early walk this morning. The lovely weather didn't last. :(

Ollie dog and I went to Amwell Nature Reserve after lunch. There was a frisson of excitement amongst the birders as a yellow-browed warbler had been seen. We stood with a couple of them hoping to get a shot but didn't manage it. I did get a poor image of what I think is a female common scoter as it flew past the Gladwin hide.

A pair of Egyptian geese were at the water's edge by the viewpoint. These birds mate for life and I love how feisty and protective the males are.
