Winter lamb

The eldest still had a temperature this morning, but was feeling a great deal better.  We headed off to the 'birthday party' for our friend who lives on a farm near the old house.  We were the only guest, so it was a very small party indeed - my friend had arranged a treasure hunt around the farm for all three to collect chocolate money.  The treasure hunt included seeing the new lamb - very, very early in the season.  My friend isn't quite sure how the mother was in lamb quite so early! 

The boys were both a bit subdued, but played very nicely, we stayed for lunch and had a rainbow cake I made last night.  It hadn't really turned out how it looked in the book! 

Boys shattered this afternoon, but no sign of a temperature for either of them, so feeling quite relieved about that!
