Jane Austin

During the week Josh and Natalie received the survey report on the house they are buying. Sadly, it wasn’t great and after much thought decided to pull out of the sale as they wouldn’t be able to afford all the work needing doing. A tough decision because they will lose money for fees and survey etc but better to do it now. Knowing they were having concerns during the week, I started browsing for other houses and happened to find one... 7 doors from the original house. They went to view it on Thursday and I went back with them today to have another look. Although I didn’t see the inside of the other house, this one is all done and would only need a lick of paint, hopefully. It is also a little smaller than the other one but fine for the 2 of them. Now a waiting game to see if their offer is accepted.

We had a walk around Alton, linked to Jane Austin who lived nearby and her house is now a museum. Will need to visit one day. (This was just displayed in a little alcove on a building).

We then went to Rebecca’s for lunch and afternoon tea.
