A cold day of muted sun
It seemed very cold this morning. And all colours had been reduced by the cold to a limited palette of washed out hues (see extra). Later we did more clearing and burning before leaving in the afternoon for Fiesole. The Sunday feeling was being felt all round. A strange melancholy light on the house, the high pass snow all mucked up by passing traffic and the looming decisions coming down the track on Tuesday. Plus work things.
I gathered some of our stored apples to take back to Fiz to make some sauce. They caught the weak light coming into our quasi-cellar (see extra). They are delicious.
The craziness of the Brexit scene increases with threats of troops in the streets quelling riots and provisioning for UK bases overseas being increased in case of logistical nightmares.
