Cicada Sings

I think these insects are one of the sounds of summer.  There is a tree with straight stems growing beside the front deck and the cicadas like to sing there.  It is very handy for a photo.  We pulled weeds today but it was far too hot and we gave up in the afternoon and went out for a fruit ice cream at the berry farm.
