Bridges in the rain

I met up with an old friend and work colleague this afternoon, I haven't seen him for (probably) about 7 years.  I think we were both quite shocked when we worked out how long it was since we last met up.  Time has a way of sneaking up on you while you are busy with other things.  

What was wonderful though, was the way that we were instantly able to take up our friendship again, and it was just as if only a few months had passed since we last met.

It was lovely seeing him again and we have resolved to try to meet much more regularly in future.  I am hopeful that we might manage it, but we shall have to see.
