In and around Humshaugh - the Crown

The morning slipped away. I updated the festival website and checked the new bookings. So far so good.

Mum had an appointment for a haircut just after lunch. I did a mini shop at Tesco and then we came home. 

The day had started bright but became very dark by noon and then brightened a bit. I did a short walk - to the White House and back. It's not so many weeks ago that this was too far to contemplate. 

We have one pub in Humshaugh, the Crown Inn. Here is the lamp over the main doorway.

Home for a rest. Margret came for a chat. Then I pot roasted a chicken with veg in the pressure cooker.

We're in to watch the recording of Grantchester tonight. (What rubbish, but easy viewing.)
