Coal Tit

We thought we were out of luck today with any decent sightings for the RSPB Garden Bird Survey. The weather was awful.

Apparently this is the 40th Anniversary of the bird watch. It was launched on Blue Peter in 1979.

Anyhow, our results weren't too shabby:-
2 Blackbirds, 3 Blue Tits, 1 Chaffinch, 2 Coal tits, 1 Collared dove, 1 Goldfinch, 3 Great tits, i Jackdaw, 3 Long tailed tits, 6 Pheasants, 1 Robin, 2 Wood Pigeons and 1 red squirrel (they want to know about wildlife, too).

12 bird species in the hour and another 3 earlier in the day.
