In folk lore, daffodils are considered lucky flowers. If you make the effort not to step on them and crush them, fortune will favour you with abundance. Give someone a gift of a bunch of daffodils and they will have good luck, but giving a single flower will bring misfortune. If you spot the first daffodil in your neighbourhood, you will see more gold than silver come to your home over the year.
