Better than a Christmas card

A real pleasure to receive the Annual Newsletter from Patterdale Hall Estate.

Its somewhere that is perfectly positioned at the end of Ullswater and the bottom of the Grisedale, hole in the wall, striding edge path up Helvellyn.

As a family in greater or smaller numbers we have stayed there many times in the last 20 years or more.

We didn't make it in 2012 after all being there in 2011. 2012 is the first time for many years I have only made one trip to the lakes and that covered some new ground in South Lakes. Nice as that week was it just wasn't the same I'm sure we'll soon be back to Patterdale.
