Last Day in Boipeba
Our last day in Boipeba we wanted to spend quiet, enjoying the place and the ocean.
Tomorrow we will leave around midday in order to get to Salvador.
We went swimming, then had breakfast.
The rest of the day was as planned, utterly relaxed. Swimming, reading, dozing and taking photos with the Instaflex.
At around 6 pm we went to the village for some souvenir shopping.
I wanted one of the wood carved dolphins like the one we had in the pousada and we did find one for very little money.
They are all done by a local artist and I was happy to take one home.
We also got some Boipeba T-shirts, a couple of place mats made from ring pulls of cans combined with crocheting! Very Bahian.
We said good bye to a few people we got to know over the last 2 weeks and returned to the pousada just after 8 pm for dinner.
Unfortunately they had finished for the day. The last days had been really busy for them and today this took their chance to close early in the evening.
So we had a caipirinha and walked back into Boipeba.
We got a table at Flor De Luar, where we had my birthday dinner and enjoyed some lovely food, although once more too much!!
We walked home without any further stop and fell to bed promptly.
Blipping a early morning shot from our sandbank. We spent a lot of lovely time at its shores over the last 2 weeks. Lying in the warm water and relaxing.
