Diary of an Edinburgher

Where's my dish???

Bike.

Up Very Early this morning - kitchen/bathroom renovations have started. Dust. Noise. Gate left open. We'll have to get used to it. And so will Archie. Actually, he coped really well, when his intitial attempt to scare the strange men away failed. After that he didn’t bother. He didn’t fuss as they stomped in and out, and made loud drilling and banging noises in the kitchen and bathroom.

The 'workies' moved the table and dresser, which we hadn’t been able to budge yesterday. We now have the dining table very conveniently situated in the sitting room. Only a few steps to the coffee machine. And the toaster.

Archie was very happy to go off out with Jordan for the morning, and so missed out on most of the drilling. But we had to avail ourselves of Christine's kind offer of her shower, as the water had been turned off and he was working in the bathroom when Archie came home all muddy.

Jordan liked our new sitting room set up, likening it to a (possibly, cheap) Air B&B, but I think it's more like a (very comfy) student bedsit.
