Abstract Thursday

Just a ball of wool, the pattern for which is stumping me. I have never had a problem with a knitting pattern before but
“Yarn front, Purl together next stitch and loop across front of stitch, yarn back” is very confusing and I can’t find a you tube video to help me out. My entry for today’s theme of texture.
