Early morning
Last night at book club we had the most delicious Burns Night supper. My friend made appetisers consisting of Scottish salmon, Scottish mackerel on oatcakes and Scottish rare roast beef - this was followed by very attractive colourful stacks of neaps, tatties and haggis with a whisky cream sauce, followed by Atholl Brose and tiny meringues with strawberries. Yummy! I never thought I would ever like haggis....And yes, we did discuss the book.
Today I walked Murdoch before going to the hairdresser - it was not a very long walk as I was running late and I was cold. But I had time to take this photo. The sunlight soon disappeared and it was raining a little by lunchtime.
What is the furthest you have ever gone to dinner? On Saturday we are going to Durham for dinner! Sounds crazy but we will drive up on Saturday morning and sleep over on Saturday night before setting off for home again on Sunday morning. It is a dinner organised by Luke and his house mates for their parents, so it should be fun and they are all such good cooks the meal is bound to be excellent too.
