Thiruvalluvar

I frequently pass this statue on my way to the British Museum and today he seemed to have more garlands on than usual. I spoke to a student who told me that the SOAS Tamil society had recently celebrated Pongal, their harvest festival, and had bestowed floral tributes on this statue of Sage Thiruvalluvar a great Tamil poet.
